Neglected

My bonsai trees have been a big part of who I am ever since I joined my club late in 2007. But I've been struggling with motivation since lockdown, and losing my Mom has made it even worse.

While I still love my trees, lately I've only been doing the basics to keep them alive and I find the only time I work on styling them is when I go to club meetings or workshops where there are people who share my interest. Trees that were looking good two years ago now need restyling because they're so neglected.

That has to change.

Today I spent a bit of time pulling weeds out of some of my pots. But I've got so many trees that it's going to take a long time to get that job done. And that's only the beginning.
